Capital Property Fund is a portfolio in the Capital Property Trust Scheme, a collective investment scheme in property established under the Unit Trust Control Act, 1981 and now deemed to be established in terms of the trust deed dated 17 December 2003 and the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 2002 (CISCA). Capital is registered with the Financial Services Board (FSB) and has been listed on the JSE Limited (JSE) since June 1984. The trustee of the Scheme is Absa Bank Limited which has been duly appointed and approved by the FSB to act as trustee.
Capital is managed by Property Fund Managers Limited (Property Fund Managers), a manager of collective investment schemes appointed to manage Capital in terms of the applicable provisions of CISCA and under the terms of the Trust Deed.
Property Fund Managers is a wholly owned subsidiary of Resilient Property Income Fund Limited (“Resilient”), a property loan stock company which has been listed on the JSE since December 2002. Property Fund Managers charges Capital 0.4% of assets under management plus long-term debt as an annual asset management fee, 1/12 of which is payable monthly in arrears.
